EV Trucks to Reach Cost Parity by 2030 but...

The cadence of news in transportation electrification is remarkably consistent. Each new report reinforces the same two themes:

  • Battery and related technology advances are accelerating, bringing the point of cost parity closer and making the adoption ramp steeper (more rapid).

  • The grid can't keep up with the pace of deployment required to charge the numbers of vehicles implied by those forecasts.

Electric Farm Vehicles (EFV) - tractors - benefit from the first and bring their own solution for the second. Thousands of megawatts of irrigation pumps and on-farm solar are deployed and available to be upgraded for tractor charging.
