I was honored to be invited to speak on the 'High Voltage Electrification' in the Executive Track at SAE International's annual COMVEC conference. The interest in electrification was huge (see the full room at another panel that included ABB and others). It is fair to say that most are focused on the basics of electrification - battery chemistry, power train design, etc. - but I got a lot of good questions and ideas when I spoke about smart charging and Vehicle Grid Integration.
As someone who lives in the energy transition bubble, I am accustomed to talking with people who take for granted that vehicles and the grid will be one intertwined mega-system soon so it is great to see how professionals with long careers and deep experience in traditional vehicle technologies are getting excited about electrification.
